Investment objective
This actively managed equity fund aims to achieve income combined with capital growth in euros.
Key features
While respecting risk diversification, the fund invests predominantly in equities, equity-like transferable securities, and participation certificates of European companies deemed to display financial strength, above-average profitability, and attractive dividend payments. Aiming for additional income, it employs a covered-call strategy by writing call options on equities or equity indices. It may use derivatives to achieve its investment objective. It uses its benchmark for performance comparison.
Approach
The investment team combines proprietary quantitative models with qualitative assessments to identify opportunities and improve the portfolio's long-term risk/return profile. It considers specific sustainability criteria in assessing potential investments, promoting environmental and/or social characteristics. It adjusts the portfolio in line with market dynamics, striving to seize opportunities and control risk.
The fund seeks to invests in quality dividend stocks to outperform the MSCI EMU index. The fund aims to offer attractive, stable/growing dividends without compromising quality.
The fund aims to offer high distributable income over economic cycles. This target is based on the combination of quality dividends and additional payouts through the sale of call options (option strategy).
A dynamic approach is used to handle extraordinary market conditions. This active management aims handle sharp downturns and rebounds, offering additional protection compared to a passive strategy.
This actively managed fund invests in European equities with an objective to outperform the MSCI EMU, while seeking to distribute 7% income. It aims to achieve this by adhering to principles of risk diversification, thus ensuring a balanced portfolio. The fund employs option strategies to generate additional income (which provide some cushion during falling markets) in exchange for limited upside participation during rising markets. The fund offers a diversified, income-oriented exposure to European equities.
European stocks can offer a compelling opportunity to generate income and outperform passive strategies. The fund uses three active strategies to achieve this: selecting quality dividend stocks, enhancing income via the sale of call options, and actively managing extraordinary market conditions.
We select stocks with attractive, stable/growing dividends. The portfolio contains 80% large-cap stocks and 20% mid-cap stocks.
Downside risks are partially cushioned by option income and dynamic participation
The option strategy used by the fund primarily consists in the sale of call options on the underlying quality dividend portfolio.
Writing call options is like renting real estate. In real estate, the owner of the property seeks to earn extra income by renting it out. In this strategy the fund, as owner of the quality dividend portfolio, seeks to earn extra income by selling call options on the same stocks.
The fund, as seller of the call option, receives cash (the premium) for the sale of the option. The buyer receives the right to purchase the underlying stock at a predefined price (called strike), typically set higher than today’s price. If options expire while prices are below strike prices, buyers don’t exercise the option, as there is no economic advantage in buying the stock at a higher price than available in the market. If the opposite was true, buyers exercising would be given the stock owned by the fund.
The regular selling of call options may enhance income.
“The goal here is to both distribute and outperform. We believe this can be achieved by combining three uncorrelated streams: Quality dividends, call options, and dynamic participation.”
The Fund is managed by an experienced group of investment professionals, supported by specialized teams, together bringing over 100 years of combined experience.

RISKS
When seeking to achieve its investment objective the Sub-Fund is subject to General Risks, to Investment Fund Risks, to Investment Management Risks and to Other Risks. Investing in the Sub-Fund implies the following risk factors which are described in detail in the section Risk Factors of the Sales Prospectus.
Investment Fund Risks
There is no guarantee that the fund will achieve its investment objective or that you will get back the amount you originally invested.
The value of your investment can go up or down in response to changes in economic conditions, interest rates, exchange rates, or company creditworthiness. Events such as pandemics, wars, or natural disasters can cause significant and unpredictable market disruptions worldwide.
If a key service provider (such as the investment manager or depositary) fails or becomes insolvent, this could cause delays in processing your transactions or result in financial losses for the fund.
In difficult market conditions, it may not be possible to sell certain investments quickly or at a fair price, which could mean the fund is unable to meet your redemption request promptly or may have to apply tools such as temporary restrictions on withdrawals.
Investment Management Risks
Shares in companies can fall in value at any time, and there is no guarantee of returns; while equities have historically offered higher long-term returns, they also carry higher short-term risk.
REITs can fall in value due to declining property prices, rising interest rates, increased operating costs, or poor management quality. These factors directly reduce the value of the underlying real estate and therefore the REIT securities held by the fund
Derivatives such as options, futures, and swaps can magnify gains but also amplify losses, and if used incorrectly or in unfavourable market conditions could result in substantial or total loss. There is also a risk that the counterparty to a derivative contract defaults on its obligations, further increasing potential losses.
By selling (writing) call options on assets it holds, the fund generates additional income and reduces volatility, but limits upside potential if markets rise sharply. If the option buyer exercises their right, the fund may be obliged to sell assets at below-market prices.
When the fund invests in assets denominated in a different currency to the fund's reference currency, movements in exchange rates can increase or decrease the value of your investment independently of how the underlying assets perform. Not all currency exposure may be hedged.
Active currency trading strategies are highly speculative and depend heavily on the portfolio manager's ability to forecast exchange rate movements; if these forecasts prove incorrect, the fund can suffer substantial losses.
Other Risks
Environmental, social, or governance events (such as climate change, social controversies, or poor corporate governance) can negatively impact the value of the fund's investments.
Any of these risks could cause a Sub-Fund to lose money, to perform less well than similar investments, to experience high volatility of the Share price, or to fail to meet its investment objective over any period of time. It cannot be guaranteed that the investor will recover the capital invested.
Subject to change, without notice, only the current prospectus or comparable document of the fund is legally binding.
Neither the Sub-Fund, nor the Management Company nor the Investment Manager make any representation or warranty, express or implied, with respect to the fairness, correctness, accuracy, reasonableness or completeness of an assessment of ESG research and the correct execution of the ESG strategy.
