Meet Robert

Robert Borenich joined Vontobel in 2007. Since 2012, he is Senior Portfolio Manager within Quantitative Investments, responsible for multi-asset portfolios and absolute-return mandates. Before that, he was Portfolio Manager at the Vienna branch, where he managed systematic investment strategies for portfolios of Austrian key-account clients. Among others, these included covered call writing mandates, trend-following strategies, and mandates with capital protection approaches (CPPI, VaR models).

Prior to joining Vontobel, he completed several internships in private banking and risk management at various Austrian banks. He started his career in 2000 at Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG, advising high-net-worth individuals on multi-asset investing.

Robert completed his job-concurrent studies with a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance with honors.
