Meet Max

Max Guthmann joined Vontobel in February 2023. He is a Portfolio Manager within the Income team in Quantitative Investments. He specializes in managing equity income strategies that utilize options to enhance income. Before his current role, he was a Portfolio Manager in the Liquid Alternatives team in Quantitative Investments based in Munich and was responsible for the management of multi-asset strategies for institutional clients in Germany.

Prior to joining Vontobel, he worked as an intern in the Asset Management department of Wiener Stadtwerke GmbH and in the Structured Solutions & Treasury department of Vontobel in Frankfurt.

Max holds a Master of Science in Financial Economics from Maastricht University and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico Buenos Aires. He is also a CFA® charterholder.
