Meet Regina

Regina Hammerschmid joined Vontobel in September 2020. She is Portfolio Manager for commodity funds within Quantitative Investments. Until April 2023, Regina was a Quantitative Analyst in the Multi Asset Research team within Quantitative Investments, focusing on systematic portfolio strategies and in particular on commodity strategies.

Prior to joining Vontobel, she worked at UBS AG as a quantitative analyst developing credit risk models. From 2013 to 2019, she completed her PhD in empirical financial market research at the University of Zurich and gave lectures as an assistant professor at the Financial Economics department. In her dissertation, she conducted research in forecasting commodity returns as well as various currency and commodity strategies.

Regina holds a PhD in Finance from the Swiss Finance Institute and the University of Zurich as well as a degree in International Economics from the University of Innsbruck.
