Finance and Head of the Institute of Finance at the FHNW School of Business
Tim Kröncke is a Professor of Finance and Head of the Institute of Finance at the FHNW School of Business in Basel as well as Chief Investment Officer at Remaco Asset Management. Tim is dedicated to bridging the gap between academic theory and practical investment strategy. At Remaco Asset Management, he uses his expertise to develop an evidence-based portfolio management approach, empowering investors to overcome cognitive biases and build efficient portfolios. Tim also serves as a member of the Academic Advisory Council for Vontobel Bank in Zurich.
His academic and professional journey includes roles as a full professor at the University of Neuchâtel and an assistant professor at the University of Basel. His professional experience also includes time at the Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken.
Tim holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Mannheim and a Diploma in Economics from the University of Freiburg.
