Regina Hammerschmid joined Vontobel in September 2020. She is a Portfolio Manager in the Commodities team within the Multi Asset Boutique. Her responsibilities include structuring and managing the systematic investment process within the funds as well as precious metals sector coverage. Prior to assuming this role in 2023, she was a Quantitative Analyst in the Multi Asset Research team, where she specialized in systematic portfolio strategies, with a particular focus on commodity strategies.

Prior to joining Vontobel, she worked at UBS AG as a quantitative analyst developing credit risk models. From 2013 to 2019, she completed her PhD in empirical asset pricing at the University of Zurich where her research focus was in forecasting commodity returns and the development of commodity and currency strategies.

Regina holds a PhD in Finance from the Swiss Finance Institute and the University of Zurich as well as a degree in International Economics from the University of Innsbruck.
