Meet Sergey

Sergey Goncharov joined Vontobel in July 2016. He is Head of Fixed Income Americas and Portfolio Manager in the Emerging Markets Bonds team within Fixed Income.

Before joining Vontobel, he was Senior Credit Analyst at Sberbank CIB in Moscow from 2011, responsible for the credit analysis of Russian as well as Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) bond issuers across several sectors, including telecommunications, chemicals, and transport. From 2009, he worked for the National Bank Trust in Moscow, analyzing Russia’s, Kazakhstan’s, and Ukraine’s commodity-related sectors.

Sergey holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the New Economic School in Moscow and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Moscow State University.
