Meet Matthew

Matthew Benkendorf joined Vontobel in 1999. Since March 2016, he is Chief Investment Officer Quality Growth. He was co-architect of the investment philosophy and style defining Quality Growth and was instrumental in developing the investment approach across these strategies. He became Portfolio Manager in 2006, responsible for the European Equity strategy and two years later for the Global Equity, US Equity, International Equity, and Emerging Markets Equity strategies. Previously, he was a Research Analyst since 2002, and before that a Trader.

Matthew received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Denver in Colorado.
