Meet Sergey

Sergey Goncharov joined Vontobel in July 2016. He is Head of Fixed Income Americas and Portfolio Manager in the Emerging Markets Bonds team within Fixed Income.

Before joining Vontobel, from 2011 to 2016, he was Senior Credit Analyst at Sberbank CIB in Moscow, responsible for the credit analysis of Russian as well as Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) bond issuers across several sectors, including telecommunications, chemicals, and transport. Prior to that, he worked for the National Bank Trust in Moscow, analyzing Russia’s, Kazakhstan’s, and Ukraine’s commodity-related sectors from 2009 to 2011.

Sergey holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the New Economic School in Moscow and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Moscow State University.
