Emily Kao joined Vontobel in September 2010 as an Operations Associate responsible for performance analytics. She left the firm briefly in 2016 to pursue personal interests and rejoined in 2018 as an ESG Consultant working with the Head of Quality Growth ESG Research. Subsequently, she was offered full-time employment by the firm as an ESG Analyst for Quality Growth in January 2021.
Prior to joining Vontobel, she worked as a private wealth management analyst at Goldman Sachs from 2004 to 2006. She began her financial career in 2000 as a research assistant at Sanford C. Bernstein until 2003.
Emily holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from New York University.
