Meet Veronika

Veronika Stolbova joined Vontobel in October 2022. She is Senior ESG Analyst in the ESG Strategy team. She covers the assessment of climate-related financial risk of investments and is responsible for developing the climate strategy as well as integrating climate change considerations into the investment process.

Prior to joining Vontobel, she spent more than 10 years in research related to climate change in various roles: as a lecturer and researcher at ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich (UZH), as well as the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), and as an advisor to the Monetary and Economic Department of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). She collaborated on and led climate change-related projects with various stakeholders, such as the German Umweltbundesamt (UBA), the Global Climate Forum (GCF), the 2° Investing Initiative (2DII), and the Swiss National Bank (SNB).

Veronika holds a PhD with honors in Physics from the Humboldt University of Berlin.
