Meet Daniel

Daniel Karnaus joined Vontobel in November 2000. He is a Portfolio Manager in the Global & Swiss Bonds team within Vontobel Fixed Income.

After finishing his studies in 1995, Daniel Karnaus worked for the Swiss National Bank. His responsibilities included managing foreign currency reserves with rotational responsibility in EUR, USD and JPY. Prior to this, in 1990, after finishing a commercial apprenticeship at a trust company, Daniel Karnaus joined the foreign currency trading department of the Cantonal Bank of Zurich. He specialized in the trading of currency options during the course of the following five years.

Daniel Karnaus holds a Business Management degree from the School of Economics and Business Administration in Zurich and a Federal Diploma as Expert in Finance and Investments.
