Meet Ian

Ian Chun joined Vontobel in May 2017. He is Senior Research Analyst within Quality Growth, assisting the Chief Investment Officer and portfolio managers in company research and stock selection. His current responsibilities involve conducting research analysis on individual stocks, which may be included in the portfolios managed within Quality Growth. He focuses on the information technology (IT) and communication services sectors.

Prior to joining Vontobel, he was a Senior Research Associate at Sanford C. Bernstein from 2013 to 2017, covering the payments, processors, and IT services industry, as well as the US telecommunications sector. Previously, he held positions in quantitative research and development at Highbridge Capital Management (2010-2011) and at Axiom Investment Advisors (2008-2010). He began his financial career in 2003 as a Senior Consultant at Accenture Capital Markets Solutions Group.

Ian holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School (with Dean’s Honors) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley. He is also a CFA® charterholder.
