Meet Maggie

Maggie Chau joined Vontobel in July 2017. She is a Research Analyst and generalist within Quality Growth, assisting the Chief Investment Officer and portfolio managers in company research and stock selection. She focuses on the consumer discretionary and consumer staples sectors.

Prior to joining Vontobel, she worked as an Equity Research Summer Associate at William Blair & Company (summer 2016). Previously, she was a Finance Consultant at Ackotec Plating Ltd (2014-2015) and a Manager, Capital Projects Business Planning and Performance Measurement at Barrick Gold Corporation (2012-2014). She began her career in finance at PricewaterHouseCoopers, where she initially worked as an Associate, Audit and Assurance Services and later as a Manager, Corporate Tax (2006-2012).

Maggie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Waterloo as well as a Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Management. Moreover, she is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) as a member of both the CPA Ontario and the Illinois CPA society. She is also a CFA® charterholder.
