Meet Nicolas

Nicolas Burckhardt joined Vontobel in 2016. He is a Portfolio Manager in the Multi Asset Boutique.

Since 2019, he has held several leadership roles, with overall responsibility for the investment management of quantitative and discretionary equity, commodity and multi-asset funds and mandates, as well as the design and implementation of customized portfolio solutions. Previously, he managed quantitative equity and multi-asset portfolios as a portfolio manager. Before joining Vontobel, he was responsible for quantitative multi-asset solutions within product management at Vescore (integrated into Vontobel in 2016). From 2013 to 2015, he was a senior quantitative analyst at Vescore Solutions, where he developed the firm’s investment processes and model landscape. He began his professional career in 2006 as a research and professorship assistant at the Swiss Institute of Banking and Finance at the University of St. Gallen.

Nicolas holds a PhD in Finance as well as a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen.
