Zhen Li joined Vontobel in August 2012. She is an Investigative Analyst within Quality Growth, focusing on ESG and engagement. She uses her journalistic skills to conduct research on investment themes and on the companies, in which the Quality Growth portfolios already invest or may potentially invest.
Prior to joining Vontobel, she was a stringer for Energy Intelligence from 2010 to 2012, reporting on China’s nuclear power industry. She began her financial career in 2005 at The New York Times in Shanghai, where she worked as a Researcher and News Assistant covering China-related topics until 2008.
Zhen holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Institut Barcelona D’Estudis Internacionals in Spain, a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Policy from The University of York in the UK, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Nanjing University in China.
