Meet Ola

Ola Mahmoud joined Vontobel in September 2024. She is Head of the Vontobel Institutional Solutions, leading the development of tailored investment solutions for institutional investors across the Vontobel platform. Previously, she was Head of Liquid Alternatives, overseeing a portfolio of systematic global macro strategies.

Prior to joining Vontobel, she was Professor of Quantitative Economics at the University of St. Gallen and at the Swiss Finance Institute, leading financial market research in the field of quantitative investing. In former roles, she was Investment Strategist at Pictet, and Quantitative Researcher at MSCI.

Ola holds both a PhD and a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the American University in Cairo.
