Meet Ola

Ola Mahmoud joined Vontobel in September 2024. She is the Head of the Liquid Alternatives team within Quantitative Investments, overseeing and developing pure systematic multi-asset investment strategies.

Prior to joining Vontobel, she was Assistant Professor of Quantitative Economics at the University of St. Gallen and at the Swiss Finance Institute, leading financial market research in the field of quantitative investing. In former roles, she was Quantitative Investment Strategist at Pictet (2012-2014), and Quantitative Risk Researcher at MSCI (2010-2012).

Ola holds both a PhD and Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the American University in Cairo.
