Meet Mattia

Mattia Trotter has been working as a Portfolio Manager in the Developed Markets team within Vontobel Fixed Income since February 2026. In this role, he is responsible for managing CHF bond funds and mandates.

Previously, from 2021 to 2026, he worked as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Allianz Global Investors Schweiz, where he specialized in active CHF Fixed Income mandates with a focus on corporate bonds and sustainable bond strategies. Before that, starting in 2019, he was responsible for EUR and USD corporate bond investment strategies at Allianz Investment Management in Munich. He began his professional career in 2009, gaining experience in credit analysis and portfolio management through various roles at Cassa Centrale Banca, Deutsche Bank, DWS, and Fitch Ratings.

Mattia holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Trento, a Master's degree in Corporate Finance from the Università Cattolica in Milan, as well as a part-time Master's degree from Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. Additionally, he is a CFA® charterholder and holds a CFA® Certificate in ESG Investing.
