Meet Gayle

Gayle Chan joined Vontobel in January 2022. As an ESG Analyst within Conviction Equities, she focuses on Chinese onshore and offshore companies in the consumer goods, information technology, and financial sectors. She specializes in sustainability topics for supply chain management, data, artificial intelligence, ESG regulation in China, and China’s international trade relations. She is based in Hong Kong.

Prior to joining Vontobel, she worked at Invesco in Hong Kong for over ten years as a portfolio management associate. Initially, she provided general macro and equity research and trade execution support for the Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan) investment team. Later she became a core member of the Asia (ex-Japan) ESG working group, assisted with the rollout of the team’s ESG integration project, and conducted in-depth ESG analysis on Chinese and Korean companies.

Gayle holds a Master in Finance from London University’s external program and a Bachelor in Commerce from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
