Meet Eugeniu

Eugeniu Ciobanu joined Vontobel Asset Management in August 2023. In his role as Implementation Portfolio Manager in the Impact & Thematic Investing team within the Conviction Equities Boutique, he is responsible for supporting the lead portfolio managers in portfolio construction and risk management.

Prior to joining Vontobel, he worked at Partners Group for five years, first in the Trade Operations team, later as a portfolio manager in the private debt space. Prior to that, he worked for Vanguard and Northern Trust in various front and middle office roles.

Eugeniu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from W. P. Carey School of Business from Arizona State University. He is also a CFA® charterholder.
