Meet Christian

Christian Rath joined Vontobel Asset Management in November 2015. He is Analyst in the Impact & Thematic Investing team within the Vontobel Conviction Equities Boutique and responsible for investments in the Impact Pillars Clean Energy, Clean Water, and Information Technology & Digitalization aimed at having a positive impact on the environment. He also manages the 3 Banken Mensch & Umwelt Aktienfonds.

Prior to joining Vontobel, from 2004 to 2015, he worked in equity research at HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt. In his last role as equity analyst, he covered technology, renewable energy, as well as small- and mid-cap stocks across Europe. He began his career in finance in 2001 at McKinsey & Company.

Christian holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Düsseldorf. He is also a CFA® charterholder and an EFFAS Certified ESG Analyst® (CESGA).
