Daniel Schild joined Vontobel in 2016 and currently serves as the Head of Computation, leading the Analytics, Data & Infrastructure department of Quantitative Investments. In this role, he oversees the computational infrastructure and processes that power the firm’s quantitative investment engine. He and his team are responsible for producing customized institutional mandates, retail funds, and structured products on the quantitative platform, for risk measurement and management and for market-related model topics of non-linear instruments.
Prior to joining Vontobel, Daniel held the same role at Vescore AG (now integrated into Vontobel). Concurrently, from 2011 onwards, he served as Head of the Investment Office at CYD Research GmbH, Vescore's commodity investing subsidiary. Between 2006 and 2010, he was the Head of Portfolio and Index Management at CYD Research GmbH, where he gained extensive experience in portfolio management and index strategies.
Daniel holds a Master's degree in Business and Economics from the University of Basel with a major in Finance, Banking and Controlling.
