Meet Robert

Robert Borenich joined Vontobel in 2007 and is a Portfolio Manager within the Income team in Quantitative Investments. He specializes in managing equity income strategies that utilize options to enhance income and is also responsible for overseeing multi-asset portfolios. Before his current role, Robert managed a diverse range of multi-asset funds, where he developed and implemented innovative investment solutions tailored to meet the unique objectives of clients. Earlier in his career, Robert was based at Vontobel’s Vienna branch, where he oversaw systematic investment strategies for Austrian key-account clients. His mandates included covered call writing, trend-following strategies, and capital protection approaches, such as CPPI and VaR models.

Prior to joining Vontobel, he completed several internships in private banking and risk management at various Austrian banks. He started his career in 2000 at Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG, advising high-net-worth individuals on multi-asset investing.

Robert completed his job-concurrent studies with a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance with honors.
