Meet Peter

Peter Whitman joined Vontobel Asset Management in May 2023. As Senior Relationship Manager for Intermediary Distribution in the US, he is responsible for the development of Vontobel’s sub-advisory and intermediary relationships. He brings nearly 30 years of business development experience with an established track record across retirement, sub-advised, and registered investment advisor (RIA) markets.

Prior to joining Vontobel, from 2017 to 2023, he was the Head of Defined Contribution (DCIO) Strategic Accounts at Nuveen, where he led the firm’s distribution effort with insurance companies and mid-market consultants. Prior to that, he held senior roles at Putnam Investments, Turner Investment Partners, and The Brinson Funds.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Drew University. He also holds the FINRA Licenses Series 24, 7, and 63.
