Meet Maggie

Maggie Chau joined Vontobel Asset Management in July 2017 as a Research Analyst and generalist in the Quality Growth Boutique, assisting the CIO and portfolio managers in company research and stock selection, primarily focusing on the consumer discretionary and consumer staples sectors.

Prior to joining Vontobel, she worked as an Equity Research Summer Associate for William Blair & Company (Summer 2016). Previously, she held positions as a finance consultant at Ackotec Plating LTD (2014 – 2015) and as a Manager, Capital Projects Business Planning and Performance Measurement at Barrick Gold Corporation (2012 – 2014). She began her financial career as an Associate, Audit and Assurance Services before working as a Manager, Corporate Tax at PricewaterHouseCoopers, LLP (2006 – 2012).

Maggie holds a Bachelor of Mathematics and Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. She is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario as a CPA and a member of the Illinois CPA society as a CPA. She is also a CFA® charterholder.
