Meet Wouter

Wouter Van Overfelt joined Vontobel in April 2013. Since September 2023, he is Head of Emerging Markets Bonds within Fixed Income. Previously, he was Head of Emerging Markets Corporate Bonds.

Prior to joining Vontobel, he was Head of Business Control within the Central Portfolio Management unit at Gaz de France Suez from 2012. From 2008, he worked at Dexia, first as a portfolio manager for corporate and total return bond funds on the Fixed Income team within Asset Management, and later as Senior Credit Risk Modeler in the Credit Portfolio Modeling & Pricing team. He started his career in 2002, modeling credit spreads on high-yield bonds.

Wouter holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp.
